Package variants

SimVS EMS Series

SimVS EMS Plus

SimVS | SKU: EMS-200

Adds mechanical ventilator simulation for critical care transport scenarios.

Tablet-based simulations of the cardiac monitors and defibrillators used in pre-hospital care. Works with the manikins you already own and packs down into a defibrillator bag.

What it is

The equipment interfaces, on tablets

The SimVS EMS Series simulates the patient monitoring equipment used in pre-hospital care — cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators — so learners train on authentic interfaces instead of a mock-up.

Instructors drive the scenario from their own tablet: rhythms, vital signs, and alarms change while learners assess, treat, and transport the patient.

Because it simulates the devices and not the patient, it works with the manikins you already own and travels between the classroom and the field.

Monitor simulations

Two defibrillator interfaces for EMS learners

X Series

Replicates the clinical device layout so learners can practice synchronized cardioversion and advanced pacing functions.

Also included

SimVS hospital patient monitor simulation showing vital signs

Hospital Monitor

ECG, SpO2, NIBP, temperature and more, configurable per scenario — for the handoff into the receiving facility.

SimVS telemetry monitor simulation showing multiple patient rhythms

Telemetry Monitor

Remote cardiac monitoring during transport. Learners read rhythm changes and act on them while en route.

SimVS mechanical ventilator simulation showing waveforms and settings

Mechanical Ventilator

Transport ventilator management, alarm troubleshooting, and setting changes. Included with SimVS EMS Plus.

Capabilities

What the system does in a program

  • Field-ready scenarios

Run emergency scenarios in the pre-hospital environments learners are preparing for, not just a classroom bay.

  • Multi-device training

Connect multiple tablets so learners practice coordinated, team-based response.

  • Scenario-based learning

Use pre-programmed scenarios or build custom ones on the fly from the instructor tablet.

  • Portable deployment

The system packs into a defibrillator bag and sets up in a classroom, an ambulance, or a fire station.

  • Performance reporting

Track trainee performance with detailed reports so instructors can see where protocols break down.

FAQ

Common questions

How does the SimVS EMS Series work in a field training environment?

The system includes a wireless router that creates its own dedicated network, so the devices keep talking to each other without internet access. The tablets are battery powered and can be mounted in ambulances, training rooms, or outdoor settings, and the whole system sets up in under five minutes.

What's the difference between SimVS EMS and SimVS EMS Plus?

SimVS EMS includes the hospital monitor, LP-15, X Series, and telemetry monitor simulations, along with an instructor tablet and wireless router. SimVS EMS Plus adds a mechanical ventilator simulation and additional scenarios focused on critical care transport.

Can I use the SimVS EMS Series with manikins I already own?

Yes. The system simulates the monitoring equipment, not the patient, so it works with any manikin you already have and complements the simulation equipment already in your program.

How many learners can train simultaneously?

The standard configuration supports up to six learners at once with one instructor controlling the scenarios, and each learner can work with a different monitor simulation. For larger groups, multiple systems can be networked together or scenarios can be projected to the room.

Do you offer training on how to use the system?

Yes. Every new system includes live instructor onboarding through your included first year of SimVS Care, plus an online learning portal with video tutorials, user guides, and pre-programmed EMS scenarios that you keep for the life of the system.

Are software updates included?

Yes. All SimVS EMS Series purchases include software updates at no additional cost, so new features, scenarios, and monitor simulations arrive without a recurring fee.
