Overview

The SimVS Nurse Station combines centralized monitoring hardware with a research-backed Multi-Patient Curriculum — giving your faculty a complete, ready-to-use simulation platform from day one. Each bedside tablet independently runs Nurse Call or Vital Signs, and the included curriculum provides 16 AACN-mapped scenarios designed for senior pre-licensure nursing students.

Available in Lab 4-Pack, Lab 6-Pack, or Modular configurations. Every package includes the full curriculum.

Clinical Scenarios

4 patients × 4 acuity levels

4

Acuity Levels

Immediate → Urgent → Routine → Low

200+

Unique Combinations

Mix patients and acuity for custom sessions

AACN Domains Mapped

Aligned to AACN Essentials (2021)

Progressive Acuity Levels

Each patient progresses through four acuity levels, allowing faculty to target specific competencies and adjust difficulty per cohort.

Level AImmediate

Life-Threatening

Requires immediate RN intervention; cannot be delegated

Level BUrgent

Time-Sensitive

Significant clinical change; time-sensitive but not immediately life-threatening

Level CRoutine

Standard Care

Standard nursing tasks; some elements may be delegated to PCT

Level DLow

Education & Discharge

Discharge planning, education, documentation; delegation-friendly

Core Learning Objectives

  • 1Utilize principles of prioritization and delegation in caring for multiple patients
  • 2Employ clinical judgment in patient care simulation
  • 3Utilize time management techniques when caring for a group of patients
  • 4Implement effective communication techniques (SBAR, closed-loop, therapeutic)
  • 5Develop and demonstrate leadership skills and teamwork

Sample Patient Scenarios

Each patient presents across four acuity levels — from life-threatening emergencies to discharge education. Explore a sample scenario below.
